The Schmetz Black Super Stretch Needle's special blade design helps prevent breakage, meaning it can be used on thicker fabrics than the standard Stretch Needle. This needle also has anti-adhesive coating (NIT) that resists sticky stabilizers, fusibles, and adhesives. If stitching on light or white fabrics or threads, test first for excess residue. Suited for use on highly elastic knits, especially if the fibre content includes Lycra®, Spandex, or elastic. The stretch needle has a medium ball point, smaller eye, and a deep scarf. The unique design of the scarf and eye prevents skipped stitches.
